Center Peak
is personal
Center Peak didn't start with a business plan. It started with a trail. Years ago, I hiked the Pacific Crest Trail from Mexico to Canada. I already knew I wanted to help people with their finances, but it was out there, step by step, that I learned what it meant to stay committed towards a goal, maintain perspective, and navigate through uncertainty. Those lessons shape the way I guide others today.
In so many ways, this firm is what I've been working toward. It's my Center Peak.
Nick Seligman, Center Peak Founder
About the name
Center Peak is a 12,900-ft mountain in California's Sierra Nevadas, a range I fell in love with while hiking the Pacific Crest Trail after college. But the name is more than just a mountain or a metaphor.
Growing up, my family and I lived on Center Drive. My dad's business was thriving, and we had reached peak financial security as a family. That season represented stability and possibility, but it also taught me how quickly things can change.
When the dot-com bubble hit, we faced a major financial setback, like so many others. We worked hard to rebuild; we moved to North Carolina, and my parents pivoted careers and became teachers. Through every up and down, they put my sister and me first.
Watching my parents navigate that chapter during my childhood was a formative experience. They taught me resilience, hard work, and what it means to prioritize family. Those core values still guide me today; they're what led me to start this firm.
At Center Peak, our mission is to help people find steadiness in uncertainty, plan with purpose, and move forward with clarity. That's what Center Peak means to us.
I can't wait to explore what Center Peak means to you.
