We want to be your first call when you have financial questions
At Center Peak, we offer all the basics you expect from a financial advisor who specializes in working with young families and business owners. But we're also building something bigger.
What "financial services" mean to us
A lot of people tell us their finances feel complicated. Your circumstances change, along with your goals, and every money question seems to be handled by a different financial professional. It's not always clear how everything fits together.
Every once in awhile, you might talk to a friend who says they "have somebody that handles their money." That kind of full-service support — handling the money — is rare; It's typically a service reserved for the ultra-wealthy. But that doesn't sit well with us. We believe more people should have access to a clear, connected way to manage their financial affairs.
So we're building something different. At Center Peak, we want to be your first call when you have a financial question. If we're not the right people to answer it, we'll help you find someone who is.
That means we:
Don't offer tax preparation, but we do offer year-round tax planning to help you stay organized and avoid tax surprises. We can also work directly with your tax preparer so you don't have to coordinate.
Don’t issue mortgages, but we can help you save and plan for the down payment, evaluate loan options, and think through how buying a home impacts your financial plan and net worth.
Can’t give you an auto loan, but we can help you set a budget, review financing options, and understand how a vehicle purchase impacts your goals.
Plus, all of the services we offer in-house. We'll tell you up front what we can and can't help with. Plus, our offerings — listed below — evolve along with our clients.
Our services and areas of specialization
Retirement planning
- 401(k)s • Most advisors are advice-only when it comes to workplace retirement plans; they leave implementation to you. We have tools that let us directly monitor and manage your plan, giving you one less thing to worry about.
- Retirement planning for entrepreneurs • We help small business owners decide whether to use a solo 401(k), a SEP IRA, or something else entirely. As your business grows, we can help you set up a more robust plan.
- Retirement plans for businesses • We advise business owners on retirement plan design, structure, and administration — balancing employee expectations with regulatory requirements.
- Roth accounts • Whether you want to open a Roth IRA, do a Roth conversion, or set up backdoor contributions, we can help with tax and investment considerations and handle the logistics.
- Spousal, inherited, and stretch IRAs • Inheriting a retirement account comes with a separate set of complex (and evolving) rules. We help clients understand their options and avoid common missteps.
- Annuities • We can help you evaluate how fixed-income strategies might fit into your overall retirement plan and, when appropriate, help you find products that may align with your risk tolerance and goals.
- Health care and Medicare • We help you plan for health care costs in retirement, connect you with a qualified Medicare consultant, and coordinate with them when the time comes.
- Logistics and rollovers • If you need to transfer funds from a workplace plan to an IRA, figure out required minimum distributions (RMDs), or something similar, we can help you handle the logistical details that surround retirement.
Custody and clearing services on Center Peak-managed investments provided by Charles Schwab & Co., Inc., Member SIPC, unless otherwise noted.
Paying for college
- 529s • It's never too early to start saving for college. Depending on your state and financial situation, a 529 plan may offer tax advantages. We can help you review your options and get started.
- Student loans • Student debt is a reality for many successful professionals. We can review your repayment plan alongside your other financial goals. We can also help you evaluate the pros and cons of any new student loans.
Financial planning
- Buying a home • Whether you're saving for your first home, looking to upgrade, or considering real estate as an investment, we can help. We're not underwriters, but we can help you plan for a downpayment, evaluate mortgage terms, and understand how a new property impacts your finances overall.
- Big purchases • Wondering whether you can afford that European vacation? Convinced that a classic car is a "solid investment"? We can help you evaluate big purchases so you can make more informed decisions.
- Cash flow and budgeting • Budgeting isn't about restriction; it's about awareness. We help individuals, families, and business owners track income and spending in a way that supports their lifestyle and long-term goals.
- Debt management • Even wealthy families have debt to manage. We can help you analyze how leverage and debt impact your other goals.
- Family and money • Whether it's planning for kids, paying for a wedding, or figuring out long-term care for a parent, family costs can add up. We help you get proactive about the financial implications of family obligations.
- Equity compensation • If your company offers stock options, restricted stock units (RSUs), or other equity or incentive-based compensation, we can help.
- Equity compensation • We help you figure out a "cash reserve." Together, we can determine how much money to keep in cash, where to keep it, and how it fits into your overall financial picture.
Estate planning, legacy planning, and tax planning
- Trusts • We can help you evaluate how revocable and irrevocable trusts fit into your broader financial and tax plan. When permitted, we can support trustees in managing the investment decisions within a trust, and we coordinate with legal counsel for trust creation.
- Charitable giving • Whether you donate during the holidays, have questions about qualified charitable distributions (QCDs), or want to explore a donor-advised fund, we can help you build philanthropy into your financial plan.
- Life insurance • We can help you find and/or evaluate life insurance policies based on your family's unique needs.
- Tax-loss harvesting • When appropriate, we may coordinate with your tax advisor to harvest investment losses — a technique that involves selling underperforming assets to help reduce your potential tax liability.
Note: Estate planning involves legal documents, and we are not practicing attorneys; while we can help you understand how these things impact your financial picture overall, we do not offer legal advice.
Investment management
- Portfolio construction • We build personalized portfolios, using Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs) and other investments, tailored to your goals, time horizon, and risk tolerance. If you want to avoid certain industries or invest in specific companies, we can incorporate those preferences.
- Structured notes & derivative investments • Looking for a way to invest in derivative markets, but don't want to learn to trade options? We offer structured notes and other strategies when appropriate. (Remember, derivatives carry unique risk.)
- Company stock • We help clients evaluate the opportunities and risks that come with concentrated stock positions.
- Private investments • Private markets — like private credit and private equity — may be restricted to qualified investors. We may be able to help you evaluate and access these investments where appropriate.

Fees and pricing
We believe in holistic financial, tax, and estate planning — not just investment management. And we never want price to govern our client relationships, so our team reserves the right to adjust fees based on client needs. That means these services (as well as everything listed above) are included as part of our investment management fee. However, we also offer one-time financial planning or hourly financial planning services.
- Investment management fees vary based on assets under management (AUM).
- We offer one-time financial planning services priced per project.
- We also have hourly financial planning services; prices vary based on complexity and other factors.
You can find a full, up-to-date list of fee considerations in our latest ADV filing.
If you have questions about pricing, set up a consultation to discuss your personal circumstances.
In addition: We aim to be fully transparent with our pricing. Our firm is fee based, and we do not charge commissions on any investment management services. If you have any questions about the details included here or in the Form ADV, we're happy to discuss.
